Memories

Hey everyone,

Party down time is drawing closer!! We are very excited about the party this Friday. We wanted to thank everyone who has emailed notes to us for dad. We will hopefully be reading those at the party, but definitely we will be giving them to him. If you know that you can't make the party, we ask politely - okay, we beg - that you email us or comment here with a personal note or favorite memory that we can share with dad. He would love to see or hear from every single student of his. It doesn't have to be long or eloquent, just something to let him know you remember him.

Don't forget that if you have any questions you can feel free to get in touch with us anytime!

To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a little better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social conduction, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success.

Mr. Loyd, consider yourself a success.

Mr. Loyd,
I can't imagine Farmlife without you. You are the coolest, most influential teacher I have encountered in my 24 years. My fondest memories of school are from my third grade year in your class. I have often wondered how your teaching changed after No Child Left Behind. I hope you stood strong. There were invaluable lessons learned in your class, through your individual teaching style, that EOGs do not test. I hope that I can make learning for my students half as much fun as you did for us. It will be hard, but I learned from the best.
Thank you for all that you have taught me,
